Looking for Warehouse Help We are a salvage company that diverts 4+ millions of pounds from the landfill each year. Every material we have is commercial grade where the only other option is to expensively dispose of it in landfills. We are incredibly proud of the work we do, not only because it is so environmentally conscious - but because the materials we come across are so remarkably cool. Some materials we carry are; - Double wall polycarbonate panels from car washes that we sell as repurposed greenhouse panels - Thick pine beams that were used to transport wind turbines for Vestas - Carpet tile from office buildings - Steel sheeting from coal fired power plants - Oak and maple butcher block style boards from old industrial truck flooring - 2’x2’ concrete panels used for computer flooring in offices we repurpose as outdoor pavers - Various salvage lumber - Vinyl billboard advertisements repurposed for heavy duty tarps - Astroturf from high school football fields We are looking for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit that works hard. You must be good at running a warehouse (sweeping, large scale organization with pallet jacks and forklift), as well as being patient and kind with retail customers. This job includes manual labor - please keep that in mind. This is a vastly different environment to work in. We build, we make, we dream, and sell raw materials. A sharp mind and a sense of humor is highly regarded. We want you to work hard, and you will be rewarded the harder you work. There is a huge amount of room for not only the company to grow, but for you to grow with it. You will be given the opportunity to prove yourself - and once you have proven yourself we can talk about these things. This is a women-owned, family run business. There’s a wonderfully friendly shop dog named Bloo who’s three years old and if you have a friendly dog, we’d love to see them every day. We are looking for part-time work at the moment. Must work Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10a-4p. If your schedule is flexible we always need help with after-hours material pickups as well. This job necessitates: - Customer service and direct interfacing - Honesty and tact - Resourcefulness - Self motivation - Knowledge of simple square POS system - An entrepreneurial spirit. There is so much opportunity to make more than your hourly - but you need to be motivated and make this happen - Knowledge of facebook marketplace and craigslist is a plus - Retail will be a huge portion of this job. Patience and liking customers is a requirement - Carpet tile sorting - Sweeping and vacuuming of the warehouse - Ability to use a forklift - Must have your own reliable transportation - Ability to use a pallet jack - Ability to use basic math skills - Must have a cell phone to communicate with - Ability to lift 60lbs+ at a time - Knowledge of tools and how to build simple things like a countertop is a plus - This is a manual labor job. Must be physically fit to lift, sort, and work on your feet for 6+ hours at a time We are open Tuesdays-Saturday 10a-4p. You will need to send a resume, and please include a 4 sentence minimum bio.
