Member news from the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth: March 9, 2021 DISCLAIMER: The following content was not created by, but is being shared by, the Chamber Collaborative on behalf of a member 3S Artspace CALL TO ARTISTS: 2021 YART SALE Attention artists of New England: 3S wants to help you clear out inventory, make space for new work, reach new audiences, and make some sales at the 2021 YART Sale! This is a YART sale, not an exhibition. It's a way for the public to "score great deals" on 2D art while supporting artists and 3S. We hope to inspire new buyers who might normally view art as out of reach, and to tempt art collectors. Artists price their work at 40% below fair market value, and 3S reduces our commission to 25%. Space is limited, so sign up and join the fun! Learn more. Apply here. APPLY HERE! THE BASICS: The YART Sale will be held April 29 - May 9 40-50 artists will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis. (Total # of artists accepted is dependent on # of pieces each artist has for sale.) Artists must have 5-20 pieces to sell at 40% off fair market value. All work must be 2D. It's free to participate and artists retain 75% of each sale. Our past YART Sales were very successful and artists and collectors alike look forward to this event each year! ADAPTING, GROWING, & STAYING SAFE: In response to last year's successful online auction and in-person YART Sale, as well as the current status of the pandemic and overall lessons learned-- some things have changed and are worth noting: There will be one YART Sale event this year, combining online purchasing (including shipping options via our newly improved online retail shop), with live, in-person sales at 3S Artspace. Participants' work will be for sale in-person at 3S Artspace with the option to also have work for sale online. (There is no online-only sales option.) This year's YART Sale does not have an auction component. Artists are not expected (or able) to be present during any portion of the sales event due to the pandemic and reduced in-person capacity. A special thank you to our year-round Lead Sponsors: This press release was produced by the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth. The views expressed are the author's own.
