What you need to know about how property taxes are determined, why they exist and change over time and how it IMPACTS YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT! Scott Shipman, St Charles County - Missouri Assessor will share his expertise regarding property/real estate tax that is perfect for helping first time home buyers understand how their home ownership is impacted by tax assessments. Scott holds the State Certified General Appraisers License. He has served as president of the Missouri Appraisers Advisory Council and currently President of the St. Louis Chapter IAAO. NOTE: Each county /State may vary based on their location as to property taxes and assessments. This seminar will be based on information local to St Louis/St Charles Counties in Missouri. In accordance with these restrictions, the following will be required at our event: In person participants will be limited to 10 people.* (Remaining participants will access via Facebook Live.)Seating will be socially distanced (6ft apart).Masks are REQUIRED for all in-person participants.*CDC does not have a limit or recommend a specific number of attendees for these types of events and instead encourages event organizers to focus on ways to limit people’s contact with each other. Each event organizer will determine the appropriate number for their setting in collaboration with local health officials. In general, the number that is chosen should allow individuals to remain at least 6 feet apart from each other.
