For consideration, please apply online at: POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility Maintenance Technician reports to and supports the Safety and Facility Manager with all aspects of facility, fleet, and equipment maintenance. Primary responsibilities may include preventative maintenance, repairs, or duties related to electrical, lighting, carpentry, plumbing, air compressors, air dryers, HVAC, forklifts, janitorial and landscape. Will ensure all policies, procedures, and regulations related to Environmental, Health, and Safety are adhered in all activities. The priority of this position will be providing and maintaining a safe work environment for an 182,000 ft. facility. Must be a self-starter and able to perform general cleaning and repairs while working independently or as part of a team. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Inspects buildings, structures, and equipment to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions, and needed repairs. Maintaining notes, documentation, and making recommendations to ensure safe and well maintained resources. -Performs minor to moderate maintenance, repairs, or installations to include, but not limited to the areas of; electrical maintenance (bulbs, fixtures, ballast, switches, fuses, small appliances, etc.), plumbing (repair/replace cause of leaks which could include drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.) -Performs minor to moderate carpentry, masonry, and painting work to include, but not limited to; roof or surface repairs, preparing surfaces, using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc. -Performs minor to moderate maintenance or repairs of fleet vehicles or other equipment to include but not limited to; cars, trucks, forklifts, cranes, etc. -Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and work spaces (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks. -Conducts periodic inspections, testing, and maintenance for facility, equipment, and fleet as directed by Manager to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. -Works with team to ensure clean and maintained offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, parking lots, landscape, and other work areas. -Order parts and supplies as needed to maintain resources. -Performs other work and related duties as assigned to ensure a highly maintained and safe facility. -Perform all duties as assigned and adheres to Tri Tool’s Core Values. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED required Five to seven years of building and equipment maintenance/repairs. Knowledge, experience, and ability in general carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Knowledge, experience, and ability in using a multitude of hand and power tools. A high level of understanding and ability in applied mechanics. Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and systems. Able to communicate effectively with both verbal and written information, plan and organize projects, with effective time management skills. Ability to effectively use (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment Valid driver license required to be a company driver. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is primarily conducted within a large warehouse and manufacturing facility. The work environment also includes office space and exterior of facilities. The noise level is mild in the office and moderate to loud in the various manufacturing or production areas. The warehouse is climate controlled; the temperature fluctuates with the seasons. Exterior work areas include; landscape, parking lot, outdoor storage, shipping/receiving dock, and flat rooftop. Exterior environment is consistent with seasonal weather conditions of the local area. Potential travel to other company facilities may be required on a limited basis. Areas of the facility require use of Personal Protective Equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds without assistance; Lifting/Moving anything over 50 pounds must be assisted. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; stoop, squat, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, large equipment, and maintenance materials. Must be able to use office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones, scanners, copiers, and paper cutters.
