JOLIET, IL — A 50-year-old Joliet man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he attacked a juvenile he knows, screaming at the victim that he has affiliations with a street gang. The incident that led to Ricky Walker's latest arrest by the Joliet Police Department happened at a house near South Comstock and Emmett Streets, reports show. Walker was taken to the Will County Jail and charged with aggravated domestic battery as well as domestic battery. Police cars rolled up to the house in the St. Pat's Neighborhood Area around 7:35 p.m. after learning of a domestic violence call. Police say Walker got into an argument with the juvenile and attacked the victim. When the victim ran out of the house, Walker chased after them and began yelling that he was affiliated with a street gang, according to police. Since it was dark outside, the victim tried hiding, but when Walker found them, he struck the juvenile in the face with an open hand, causing the victim to fall down, reports show. When the victim tried to get up, Walker pushed them back to the ground, choking them to the point they could not breathe, police said. Once officers arrived on the scene, they took Walker into custody. The juvenile suffered minor injuries to their face and hands, according to police. Walker lives in the 300 block of South Joliet Street, on the city's southeast side, jail logs reflect.
