BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The chairwoman of the Bucks County Republican Committee has apologized after a robocall that went out to Bucks Countians last week featured a number purporting to be from Johnson & Johnson on the caller ID, according to news reports. Several Bucks County residents posted on social media that they received an automated phone message from the Bucks GOP with a caller ID displaying Johnson & Johnson. Tuesday was the deadline for candidates to file nomination petitions to appear on the upcoming ballot. As to why the called ID listed the caller as Johnson & Johnson, the county GOP said they set up the robocall using a third-party vendor and the phone number they used previously belonged to the vaccine maker, Poprik told Levittown Now. "It appears that one phone number, that was used for a limited number of households, previously belonged to Johnson & Johnson, and retains its registration in the caller ID database," Poprik said. "We share the frustration of Bucks County families resulting from the uncertain and delayed statewide vaccine rollout.
