GRAYSLAKE, IL — As we wrap up our first year living in this "new normal," it's a good time to look back at the many people who have helped us get through these trying times. From the doctors who have saved lives to the nurses who have held the hands of those who are sick, there's been so many examples of people who have stepped up during this pandemic to give back and help those in need. Other examples include neighbors who have offered to get groceries for the immune-compromised, family members who've set up drive-by birthday parties and caring teachers who have gone above and beyond to adapt, and keep kids attention, over Zoom. We want to hear about the "heroes" who have made this last year better and more bearable. Who have put a smile on your face or lent a hand when you, or someone else, really needed it. Patch has partnered with Ring to shine a spotlight on the neighborhood heroes who are making a difference in their communities. Let us know about those making a difference by filling out the form below, and we'll be happy to share their impact with the rest of the community. Contributions big and small are important and valued. Thank you for nominating someone who makes your neighborhood a better place. Read about other heroes from across Illinois here.
