Description

Press release from the City of Minnetonka: March 9, 2021 Reduce food waste Please take this short survey by Monday, March 15 to help Hennepin County understand more about food waste and how we can work together to reduce it. Your responses about how you shop, cook, store and dispose of food will be used to create resources to help reduce food waste. Thanks in advance for your help! Recycle your batteries Batteries make our lives more convenient, but can be dangerous when they're not disposed of properly. Some can catch fire in the trash, or contain materials hazardous to our health and the environment. Instead of throwing batteries in the trash, be a battery hero and recycle them at a Hennepin County Drop-Off Facility! All types of household batteries are accepted. Thanks for doing your part to put batteries in their place! Apply for a deconstruction grant Deconstruction is the process of carefully dismantling building structures to salvage materials for reuse. To promote this unique form of recycling, Hennepin County is offering grants to help offset deconstruction's additional time and labor costs. Visit Hennepin County's website to learn more, find eligibility requirements and apply online. Find more county resources for residents at hennepin.us/residents.
