Description
Midpen Movie Nights are a monthly online movie screening event! Join the Midpen Media Center's community of media-makers and film enthusiasts on a journey through cinema history. Together, we'll enjoy some of the best (and worst!) classic movies and made-for-TV films that the Public Domain archive has to offer. Viewers are also invited to particiate in a post-screening chat on Zoom!
This month's feature is Pot o' Gold (1941). Register through Eventbrite:
Jimmy, the owner of a failed music shop, goes to work with his uncle, the owner of a food factory. Before he gets there, he befriends an Irish family who happens to be his uncle's worst enemy because of their love for music and in-house band that constantly practices. Soon, Jimmy finds himself trying to help the band by getting them gigs and trying to reconcile the family with his uncle, an avid music-hater.
We'll be voice-chatting on Zoom, but the text chat will be open for those who prefer to keep their mics off. This film will be available to view on our Facebook page and Channel 30.
