Under the direction of the Pavement Marking Manager, the Pavement Marking Technician performs all essential functions to install, repair, and maintain pavement markings in a variety of road construction environments throughout the State of Wisconsin. For full description and to apply, go to www.megarentalsinc.com/employment *Lift, carry, load, and unload pavement marking materials and traffic control devices. *Set up and remove pavement marking and traffic control devices at jobsite. *Prepare and clean work area to place pavement markings. *Install, repair, and maintain pavement markings in accordance with state specifications and standards. *Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints to layout and install pavement markings. *Follow all local, state, and/or federal rules and regulations for maintaining and operating commercial vehicles. *Drive, operate, and maintain necessary equipment to prepare, apply, and remove pavement markings. *Perform routine maintenance of components of pavement marking equipment. *Repair equipment and perform all shop work necessary to prepare for onsite job functions. *Complete tasks within time constraints. *Transport material and equipment to and from company locations and jobsite when needed. *Accurately track and record quantities of installed pavement markings for each project daily and return to the Pavement Marking Manager. REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write clearly and legibly. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening per DOT regulations. Driver’s license with excellent driving record required. Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods of time. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively. Ability to work in an outdoor/shop environment and extreme weather conditions. Flexibility to work varying shifts: Nights, weekends, and travel overnight for extended periods of time. Class A CDL strongly desired. Must obtain Class B CDL or Class A CDL within 12 months of employment with HazMat and Tanker endorsements. Must be on-time to meet extremely stringent time constraints. 2+ years in a construction or mechanical position desired.
