The Complete Pack is a professional dog walking company which services Berkeley, North Oakland and Albany. We are looking to add a walker to our great pack walking team. The qualified person must have a passion for dogs and want to learn about dog psychology and behavior and how to handle a pack of dogs, must be an avid dog lover, experienced (a plus) handling dogs of various types, self-motivated and a team player, and excited to work with and be trained in our dog handling methods. We often take dogs into our packs that have been working through behavioral issues and need our walkers to help reinforce their training while out on pack walks. We walk our dogs rain or shine, so loving the outdoors and being active is a requirement. Each day a walker is responsible for picking up a group of dogs and returning them to their homes safely after an off-leash pack walk adventure in one of the many parks we utilize in the area. It’s hard work, but a real joy as well. We also board and house sit our client dogs, so you can help with that, as well, if interested. It’s a fun way to make extra money and further bond with our dogs. Must be able to work 5 days/week; M-F, average time 3-4 hrs, between the hours of 10:30-4:00. Paid training for at least the first 6 weeks. We are a very small company and the training is a very large investment of time and money for us, so we require at least a year commitment. Requirements: *Passion for dog psychology and behavior and want to be a better handler and be a pack leader (NOT just a dog lover) *At Least 1 year working experience with dog(s) professionally preferred but as long as you are eager to learn, experience is not necessary *Detail oriented and organized *Current driver's license, with proof of insurance *Have a vehicle that can transport up to 6 dogs (VERY important) *Smart phone with access to GPS and for taking pictures *Love being outdoors and being active *Don’t mind getting dirty *Excellent work ethic *Hardworking *Responsible and well-organized *Great communication skills *Be willing to learn and grow as a dog handler *Be a team player *At least one year commitment *You have own your dog is a plus We can't wait to hear from you.
