Target Bringing COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics To 600 Locations

CLEVELAND — Target is working with CVS to bring COVID-19 vaccination clinics to Ohio. The retail giant announced it would launch vaccination clinics in 600 of its stores, across 17 states. Target officials said the infrastructure for vaccine clinics is already in place because of existing flu, shingles and pneumonia clinics. "We're also making fitting rooms available to CVS at select stores to host appointments," Target officials said in a news release. Clinics will be open to both customers and employees of both CVS and Target. Registration for appointments will done through CVS's website. Here are the 17 states that will see COVID-19 vaccine clinics at Targets: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia Ohio will expand vaccine eligibility Thursday, making vaccines available to Ohioans 50 and older. The state also launched its own vaccine registration website. To use the website, visit gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov. Click "Check Eligibility and Book an Appointment" and answer a series of questions to confirm you are eligible to receive the vaccine. The questions take 5 to 10 minutes to answer. If you're booking an appointment for someone else, you will be prompted to provide your own name and information. Approximately 20 percent of Ohioans have received at least the first part of the two-shot COVID-19 vaccine.
