COLUMBUS, OH — More than 1 million Ohioans have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Ohio Department of Health. As of Wednesday afternoon, 1.196 million Ohioans have either received both parts of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. That means 10.24 percent of Ohioans are now fully vaccinated against the virus. As vaccine production ramps up, and states receive more vaccines, Ohio has expanded eligibility for the vaccine. At least 929,414 Ohioans have contracted COVID-19 and recovered, the Ohio Department of Health said. More than 17.5 percent of Ohioans have received at least the first part of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state health department. More than 10 percent of Ohioans have received both COVID-19 vaccine shots. As of Wednesday afternoon, 2.08 million Ohioans had received at least the first shot of the two-part COVID-19 vaccine; and 1.19 million Ohioans have completed the vaccination process.
