The City of Davis announced today that it has launched an online portal for Minor Permit applications, which include permits for furnace, air conditioning, sewer lines, siding, sprinkler valves, water softeners/reverse osmosis devices, water heaters, ceiling fans and whole house fans. This will allow online self-service for customers obtaining these building permits.
The portal is available at this web page under the Permit Guidelines section of the page:

The page also includes a tutorial for using the permit system.
"This technology improvement for our minor permits will increase efficiency for our customers and for City operations," said Ashley Feeney, Assistant City Manager.
"Many folks in our community, including The Yolo County Association of Realtors and the Davis Chamber of Commerce, expressed a desire for online permitting," said Councilmember Will Arnold. "We are so glad this more convenient system is now in action."
