Yes, the republicans are complaining about the Dr Seuss books. I'm sure that they understand that the publishers owns the rights, but it's more about the hypocrisy. The current cancel culture says that they have 'racially insensitive images". At what point did they become racially insensitive? When he first wrote them? Or when Obama actually read them as part of the reading day events? And yes, the publisher has the rights... but should ebay also have the right? They immediately stopped the sale of the same books. And we've all heard that you now can't get the six Seuss books, but you can still get Mein Kamp. The republicans might be willing to "get involved with the actual work by Biden" if he was actually doing anything. The economy was booming and setting record highs. Unemployment was at a record low... gas prices were very low... the economy didn't need a restart. We certainly didn't need a bill for $1.9 Trillion dollars of democratic pork! What did they NOT try to get involved in? Pelosi's tunnel? Schumer's bridge? The union pension bailouts? The teacher's union bailouts? The mismanaged cities and states bailouts? Covid is over. States are open, schools have been open since the fall, unemployment is 6.5%, nobody is staying home for anything these days. The vaccine was moving right along all the time... the only problems is the state's distribution plans.
