BraidHER Mobile presents The EmbraceHER NaTurally Spring Workshop BraidHER Mobile has collaborated with The ReFresh Project to host a Spring Workshop: EmbraceHER NaTurally (EHN). EHN is a Workshop for 48 girls aged 8-14 in Baltimore, MD!! This will take place on Saturday March 27th and Sunday March 28th at Middle River Baptist Church. *Tickets are FREE and donations are welcomed for this and future events. (Due to the limited capacity of the event, a stand-by list will be created for the day of for no shows. If you register past the maximum occupancy for the event, you will be added to the list and notified of your position.) BraidHER Mobile’s mission is to equip young girls to navigate life. We provide creative learning experiences, as well as, Christian Faith based principles and/or tools/resources to help them identify who they, what their gifts and talents are and how they created use them to make a positive impact on the world. Activities for the Spring Workshop will include: a STEM Activity with The Divaneering Lab “Color your Smile”, Creative Expression Workshop with MRBC Family Ministries, HOYA and BraidHER as well as a Community Impact Project with Smalltimore Homes and MORE!! We will conclude the Workshop Sunday with Give-a-ways, Music and a special message from the MRBC’s Family Ministries Pastor Lonnie Duckett!!! **The conclusion will be a collaboration both of the Refresh Project events that are taking place this weekend. There is ample room for spacing in the environment where we all will gather and remain 6 feet apart. This Event is FILLED with Enriching activities for our girls! Food will be provided on both days. (Please include all allergens in the email requested above.) This event is Sponsored by Hometown Lenders and HOYA Maryland. Our Community Partners for this event are: Middle River Baptist Family Ministries, Divaneering, Smalltimore Homes, HOYA Maryland Drop off and Pick Up Guidelines: Saturday 1st Session(8-10y/o) Drop off: 8:45-9:00am Pick up: 2:30-2:45pm 2nd Session (11-14y/o) Drop off: 3:00- 3:30pm Pick up: 9-9:15pm Sunday 1st Session(8-10y/o) Drop off: 1:30pm to 2:00pm. Pick up: 5:15pm 2nd Session (11-14y/o) Drop off: 5:30 pm to 6:00pm. Pick up: 9:15 pm. General COVID-19 Guidelines for Participants: 1. Temperature will be taken and hand sanitizer will be used during check-in. 2. Each participant is required to bring a face mask and have it on the entire day. (Mask breaks will be given in rotation during breakouts and collectively at lunch) 3. Please bring donations for the Community Impact Project. Girls will, alongside Ms. LaQuida Chancey from Smalltimore Homes, pack hygiene bags for homeless women in Baltimore. Donations may include, but are not limited to, Hand sanitizer, masks, quality feminine hygiene products, soap, $5 Subway gift card (we cannot pack food) etc. 4. Girls will need to bring something to cover their clothes for the painting part of our Creative Expression Workshop. (i.e. over-sized T-Shirt, apron etc.) 5. Girls must bring their own water bottles. Water coolers will not be available. (Students cannot share cups or water bottles.) 6. Girls will always be attended. Each group will have a designee that travels with that group and will facilitate bathroom breaks as well as the mask break rotations. 7. Hand sanitizer will be used before the start and at the end of each session. 8. Students will be expected to keep a physical distance of 6 feet or more. We will have a designated staff member that will be responsible for the maintaining social distancing. 8a. The facilitator will walk the room, masked, to check on the girls’ progress. The CDC recommends no contact within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more (www.cdc.gov) so no facilitator will be less than 6 feet from any student for more than 10 minutes. 9. Students will not be allowed to use or have cell phones on them during workshop hours. The cell phones must be kept in their bags and can only be used in the event of emergency. 10. Girls will be assigned to a specific group on the first day of the workshop and must stay in that group during both sessions. Spectators - Spectators will not be allowed in the activity rooms.
