Description

Suicide rates in the US & Canada have never been reduced and sustained at low rates. Sign up and be part of the solution! Webinar Description A recent study found therapists less willing to treat patients with suicidal symptoms due to therapists’ self-identified lack of training and resources. Less than 50% of graduate training programs in mental health provide formal instruction on suicide risk assessment, and such training equals <2 hours on average. This six-hour course is spread across three 2-hour webinars, offered to physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, behavior analysts, counselors and those interested in stopping the ascending suicide trends in their community. Through didactics, discussion, video and simulations, learners will increase their competence, confidence and comfort managing suicidal patients. Learners will develop the most contemporary skills in evidence-based risk assessment, management and clinical decision making. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NCR Behavioral Health and the DoBetterMovement are absorbing the cost of CEs. If attendees purchase a ticket, CEs/CMEs will be free once attendees complete a course evaluation. The webinar cost is a flat fee for all 6 hours of training (three 2-hour webinar sessions). Registering for the April 16th session provides access to all three sessions; sessions may not be purchased separately. Session 2 will be held from 12:00-2:00pm EDT on April 23rd and Session 3 will be held on April 30th from 12:00-2:00pm EDT.  ***A URL for Zoom will be emailed to all registered attendees by April 29th. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM EMAIL BOX, as the links sometime ends up there. CE Language There are no partial CEs. Attendees must attend all 6 hours to gain credit.
