ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Installation of automatic and manual commercial and residential doors, operators, loading dock and associated equipment. • Responsible for surveying and preparing worksite location for installation. • Perform related minor work in framing, build in's and adjustments. • Perform work following company safety policies and guidelines. • Evaluate and ensure prior to commencement of work, that the appropriate tools and equipment are working and/or available. • Responsible for documenting the work to be performed and reviewing with the customer. • Responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of equipment, tools and vehicles provided by Hill Country Overhead Door. • Maintain that the appropriate parts inventory is in the company vehicles and ensure that items are available for work. • Represent Hill Country Overhead Door with customers and present them in a professional demeanor. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. • Experience in garage door installation and service preferred. • Minimum of 1 years' experience in the Overhead Door Industry is preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate basic math and read a tape measure. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Often, the job requires working at elevated heights up to 40 feet.
