I dreamt about you for years. Your name just came to me one day and I knew so deeply in my heart that that was it. That was your name. I dreamed so many beautiful things for you. My heart is so broken and sad at the realization that you’ll never come to be. To think that all those dreams of you and so many other things were just wasted. Dreams that just simply weren’t meant to be, even though I believed with everything that they were. He broke my heart, Sloan. He betrayed us. He left us. He broke promises to us. I’ve come to realize that he didn’t know how to love us the way we deserved. I’ve also realized that you can love someone so hard, so deeply, so fully, so well, until you’re completely blue in the face, but in order for them to receive it and reciprocate it honestly, they have to believe in you, the love you share, as well as their own worth. Oh how I loved him so, Sloan. And oh the pain of becoming conscious to the reality of a life without you both.
