Higgins Heating & Cooling, LLC, a family owned business, is looking for HVAC installers and job lead in Bozeman, MT. Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate. WAGE SCALE: * Up to $35/hour depending on experience and ability to learn and perform. Lead skills will need to be assessed to determine pay. *Paid holidays, benefits and vacations, and health/dental/vision/life insurance are available after probation. *Job lead must have 5+ yrs of experience, e.p.a certified, vast knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, leadership skills, ability to troubleshoot and service skills. *Up to $5000 sign on bonus after 90 day probation period for lead and technician. *Weekly pay check. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: *Install new residential and commercial HVAC equipment. *Work in a team environment and take direction to complete installation. *Willing to share and impart industry knowledge to apprentices working underneath them. *Produce quality workmanship while completing projects on time and on budget. *Read and interpret blueprints and specifications accurately. *Good working knowledge of system layout and duct design. *Good product knowledge and application skills. *Read and interpret product installation, engineering, and owner's manuals prior to equipment installation. *Demonstrates the ability per blueprints to layout, set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, "B"-type venting, PVC venting, condensate piping, low voltage and control wiring for rooftop equipment, make-up air units, exhaust fans, HRVs, unit heaters, variable air volume terminal units, zoning dampers, dampers, actuators, furnaces, fan coils, heat pumps, and condensers. *Good time management to stay on task and on schedule. *Good working knowledge of mechanical code, quality control, safety policy, and job costing paperwork. *Experience with plumbing/pipe fitting (copper piping) preferred. GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Must be able to perform work from ladders, mechanical lifts, and in confined spaces. *Good mechanical aptitude, common sense, work ethic and the desire to advance professionally and personally. *Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. *Ability to maintain a positive, willing, and trainable attitude. *Have the ability to get along with and work well with people on all levels. *Work flexible hours depending on project requirements. *Must have own hand tools required for the job and be willing to purchase additional tools as skills advance, power tools provided. *Demonstrate a willingness to continue education through available company and industry training.
