Meet Bleu the unique HMPK Blue Dalmatian Half-Giant Betta. This boy is very personable and will warm up to you quickly, especially with food. His favorite thing in the world are live foods such as blackworms, tubifex, small earthworms (or you can cut them up, if you're okay with that), black soldier fly larvae, and mealworms. I've even fed him fungus gnat larvae. If it's less than half of an inch long, he'll happily take them from your tweezers. Needless to say, he does require a varied diet consisting of a quality pellet and frozen/live foods. Half-Giants are also known as "King", a Petco brand of Betta that commonly reaches 3" when fully grown. Bleu is half an inch smaller than the average but, then again, he isn't an adult just yet and will continue growing if kept in the right conditions. Because of his sheer size, he can't live in a simple 5 or 10 gallon tank...this'll be much too small. Instead, I suggest a minimum of 15 gallons (12×24×12") or larger - fully established, of course. Bleu gets along with most snails and some fish, but will turn your shrimp into snacks. He's always lived in a blackwater aquarium, so tannins via leaf litter, driftwood, or seed pods are highly recommended to keep him healthy.
