We are a wholesale cabinet manufacturer (with multiple customer bases across the United States and Canada) looking to fill a position in our Shipping/Receiving department with a responsible and accountable person. Experience or familiarity with this industry preferred. Shipping: · Schedule and coordinate pick-up and delivery of freight FTL, LTL and Ground throughout the US and Canada · Knowledge of NAFTA regulations & customs documentation · Stay current with applicable transportation regulations and tariffs · Must be able to use UPS World Ship and Fed Ex shipping Software · Understand shipping policies and regulations regarding freight. Know limitations and associated costs · Familiar with rates and routes to effectively determine shipping methods · Experience with freight forwarders · General understanding of warehouse policies and procedures in regards to shipping, receiving and inventory control · Analyze freight costs for maximum efficiency with minimum costs · Insure specific customer requests for packaging/shipping requirements · Assures bills of lading are accurate and complete · Investigate causes of delay or inadequate performance · Interact with customers, transport and logistics companies in a polite and professional manner Receiving: · Receive incoming deliveries from suppliers · Inspect all incoming materials for accuracy and damage · Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner, ensuring all parts are in the appropriate storage location · Resolve discrepancies through investigation and proper communication with appropriate personnel · Work with other departments to resolve inventory issues Experienced with MS Office: Outlook, Excel, MSWord Assist co-workers in Packing and Assembly when required: Repetitive Lifting up to 50-75lbs Must be able to work in a team · Must be able to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment Forklift certified preferred and familiar with other material handling equipment · Load and off load trucks using forklift or hand cart ensuring that all safety measures are followed Must be able to read a pick list and a production/shipping schedule to ensure complete and timely shipping Ability to properly/safely use various warehouse equipment: pallet jack, tape measure, scales, drill, staple gun, pallet-bander, forklift, vertical saw, and packing materials Weigh and accurately record items on pick sheets and pallets Other tasks/projects as needed General: · Previous warehouse/factory experience Work safely and keep all areas neat and organized Able to work well with his/her other team members Read, Speak, and Write in English Must have a sense of responsibility and confidentiality Must be detail-oriented and have analytical skills A self-starter with a positive attitude Must be team oriented, excellent organizational skills, and have strong attention to detail Effective interpersonal skills Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates Excellent attendance Reliable transportation Amazing Benefits Package!
