Camelback Ranch - Glendale, the Spring Training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, is now accepting applications/resumes for the following position: Title: Irrigation Technician Status: Full Time The Irrigation Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the complex’s irrigation systems, including the 5-acre irrigation lake that divides the 142-acre facility and its pump station, to the highest of standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Work with grounds superintendents to set, program, and maintain times on computer and electronic valve clocks • Report and troubleshoot irrigation issues with computerized electronic systems, irrigation controllers, valves and heads of all types • Report and troubleshoot issues with Flowtronic Pump Station and all parts related to the pump station. • Inspect, clean and repair irrigation lines, valves, and sprinklers as necessary in a timely manner. • Meet, accompany and oversee third party providers on larger projects as directed by Director of Operations. • Maintain accurate records of water usage to maximize water efficiency. • Ensure use of proper equipment and adhere to safety standards. • Maintain accurate record of supplies, inventory and information of projects on work order computer system. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements/Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • 5 Years of commercial irrigation and pump system management experience preferred. • Experience with Flowtronic Pump System strongly preferred. • Valid Arizona Driver’s License or demonstration of the ability to immediately obtain one. • Ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationships. • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. • Good health with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and push and pull heavy objects. Ability to walk, stand, kneel for long periods of time and work in extreme heat and harsh conditions • Strong communications skills; the ability to verbally communicate at a level that ensures productivity and quality of work.
