Marathon is now hiring a Production Operators in Phoenix (Central/South); functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This is an entry-level position; the client is willing to train. This location is at 35th and Washington. Our operators work on swing shifts (a/b/c/d) which is a 3/2 rotation. PRODUCTION OPERATOR: • A Shift (5 Openings) - 5a to 5p, $14/hr • C Shift (4 Openings) - 5a to 5p, $14/hr • D Shift (4 Openings) - will report at 8am on first day, beyond that will work 5p-5a, $15/hr • Day Shift Janitorial (1 Opening) - 8a to 4p, $14/hr ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Operation and control of machinery in carpet recycling • Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards • Dumping materials into machine hoppers ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • High School diploma or equivalent preferred • 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience • 1 year of experience in recycling preferred • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills • May be required to use RF scanner gun PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depend Marathon is an equal opportunity employer
