Join us for this unique, carefully curated Scavenger Hunt that explores one of the most beautiful and historic sections of Central Park. You will discover and uncover many of the hidden secrets in Central Park. You'll meet fascinating people and learn a variety of new facts, figures and trivia that will make you look like a rock star! You'll get to share your hard-earned knowledge and general problem solving skills as you collaborate with your team. You'll get to socialize with others before, during and after the Hunt. And you'll get to join the group again for the post-event awards ceremony on Zoom. Your team may even win! Dust off your curiosity, creativity and competitive spirit and join us! Build a team or come on your own to explore the history and natural beauty of this crown jewel of NYC. You will be surprised by the hidden secrets and stories as well as the rich variety of trees, plants and abundant wildlife living in the Park today. No doubt, the Park will come alive for you in a new and different way. The Hunt takes place in Central Park between 96th and 106th streets. Your team will answer trivia questions, locate monuments and respond to photo and video challenges while making their way across the Park. Topics include: art, literature, history, flora, fauna and popular culture. Clues will be sent to your team via WhatsApp so you will need a Smart Phone to participate. Maps will be handed out at the pre-event Orientation. Teams will be awarded for speed and accuracy as well as creativity. Snacks will be provided at the end of the event. There will be benches and restrooms for those who would like to take a break and relax. A post-event awards ceremony will be held on Zoom later that day. The winning team receives a $25 gift card. "Shout Out" awards will be given for: Best Naturalist, Most Artistic and Most Unusual. All participants are required to wear masks and maintain social distance.
