Gigging Oldies Band Seeking Guitarist

Meets

Philadelphia PA

Description

Working oldies band (averaged two gigs a month for years prior to the quarantine) needs a guitarist to play mostly rhythm on tunes by the Beatles, early Stones, Motown, Memphis Stax and other tunes from the 1960s and early 70s. Must be committed, mature and willing to rehearse once a week. Band already has gal singer, guitarist/keyboardist, bassist and drummer. Band has played dozens of venues in Philly, suburbs and South Jersey. Must love babyboomer era music and be familar with the songs of that era. Think the Beatles' "Back in the USSR", "Ticket to Ride," Stones' "Satisfaction, "It's All Over Now," Yardbirds, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Sam and Dave, "Sunny," "Rainy Night in Georgia," and we even throw in a few later tunes like "Jenny, Jenny," "The Breakup Song," etc. If you're interested, please email me back. BTW, average babd member age is sixty years old. Our singer is younger but knows 1960s music like she lived it. Email me and we'll chat and hopefully schedule an audition.
