Amaranth + Artifact is a Boutique Event Rental Company servicing weddings and events from Point Harbor to Corova and Hatteras. Our 1200sq ft. warehouse located in Point Harbor is full of furnishings such as sofas, chairs, bars, shelving and dining tables that are rented out every weekend in season (May-June & August-November). Position Summary: Part time/Seasonal Ideal Candidate : No experience is required for this position. However any laborer, delivery, moving or construction experience is highly sought after. This job is extremely physical and the hours can be long at times and late at night. We are seeking individuals who are motivated to learn and that would like to make a career with Amaranth & Artifact Event Rentals. Pay is determined based on labor, Box truck, Trailer, Driving experience, Knowledge of the events industry, and construction experience. $14 to $17 Job Description: Seeking outgoing individuals who are willing and ready to work in a variety of settings, with a variety of personalities, ages, and locations. This position includes heavy lifting, working indoors, outdoors, and any number of duties related to fulfilling special events, delivery and set up/installation/operation of hand and power tools, load in and load out of event equipment to venues, and regular maintenance/cleaning of rental equipment. Working Conditions: Most of the work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions. Work is fast paced, demanding, and very rewarding. Education, Skills & Requirements: •. Have valid driver’s license. • Be able to lift 50-70lbs consistently and safely. • Have full range of motion and dexterity. • Reliable and have own transportation. • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers. • Maintain patience and handle stress well. • Must have good navigation skills • Knowledge and understanding of basic tools • Weekends and late nights required Responsibilities: • Check truck prior to leaving office for proper equipment and proper loading. • Perform truck inspection before leaving on route. • Clean up job site after delivery and pickup. • Count all inventory on delivery and pickup. • Learn installation/breakdown procedures with all hard goods (tables, chairs, sofas, bars, etc). • Demonstrate safe driving practices. • Understand and retain knowledge of A+A rental equipment and how to assemble it. • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
