Superintendent- Commercial Painting Seattle, WA Our client, a family-owned local business and expert in the commercial/residential painting industry, is looking for a detail-oriented Superintendent to oversee production on job sites and ensure company quality, schedule, and profit goals are achieved safely and effectively while satisfying excellent customer service. The Superintendent will be responsible for crew safety at all times. They will be creating site-specific safety plans, conducting site safety meetings, and mentoring, developing, and retaining top talent to ensure the company's growth. The ideal candidate will be someone with ten years of commercial and/or residential painting experience and a proven track record of working with general contractors, property managers, architects, and homeowners. Superintendent Responsibilities: • Ensure that the company is in compliance with all state and federal safety regulations and acts as a safety director for the company. • Train crews in safety procedures on-site, conduct safety meetings, complete all required safety forms. • Work with the foreman to oversee production on job sites. Enforce quality standards and train as needed. • Coordinate job sites and projects that may require scaffold setup, swing stage, pump jacks, and/or lift use as needed. • Manage the permit process for multifamily and commercial projects to ensure work is completed on schedule. • Participate in weekly schedule and coordination meetings as required by the project manager. • Complete regular site visits ensuring that job cleanliness and company image standards are met. • Review documents and drawings to ensure field crews have a complete and clear scope of job specifications. • Work with the foreman to make sure extra work is signed off before being completed, that all extra work is documented, and that punch list items are taken care of promptly. • Ensure daily reports and foreman logs are being completed and ensure foreman have all the paperwork they need. • Tran subcontractors and enforce policies for them when they are on site. • Log jobsite visits in CRM and communication with customers in CRM software. • Manage conflict – identify root causes and address promptly with employees. • Recruit, mentor, develop and retain top talent. Superintendent Qualifications: • 10 years of commercial and/or residential paint application- such as warehouses, condos, mixed use construction and senior living, office parks, tenant improvement, and shopping facilities. • Understanding of wall coverings, scaffolding, and swing stage hardware. • Experience with obtaining street use permits is preferred. • Some understanding of Spanish is highly preferred. • Available to be on call by phone for night work, and if needed can travel to night jobs. • Proficient skill in Outlook, Word, or Excel. • Proven track record in accomplishing goals and improving crew production. www.nwrecruitingpartners.com
