Job Description: Milling Operator, Scanning and Printing Technician GDS is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated person to join our team. GDS manufactures digital denture products. Entry Level Position with dedicated employee training & the opportunity of long-term internal job growth. 1 Afternoon Shift Position M-F 12:30pm-9:30pm-Full Time Position - 40 Hours/Week $15/Hourly, 3 weeks paid time off, Full Benefits Package. Purpose: Technicians use a scanner to convert physical dental records into digital records. Following the design process, the software-generated denture must be milled. The technician is responsible for milling acrylic pucks by loading milling files, checking machine calibration, and loading the puck on a 5-axis milling machine. The technician will also be responsible for 3D printing of dentures by loading the design files, maintenance of the printer, execution, and post processing. Responsibilities: • Review work-order notes to verify correct puck size and shade. • Select correct work order digital file. • Load puck according to specifications and remove puck from mill. • Prepare physical records for scanning. • Read case notes in Client for customer requirements. • Choose correct scan type per guidelines and scan pieces in light scanner. • Name files according to specification Requirements: • Basic Computer skills are required. • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, following work instructions and using equipment, preferably a press and measurement tools. • Must be able to follow manufacturing work instructions. • Must maintain process and quality records with an attention to detail. • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. • Must be able to set-up and operate machines independently. • Must be able to inspect own parts to requirements. • Should be well-organized and possess excellent communication skills. • Takes pride in workmanship and possess a positive team-oriented attitude. • Works effectively both independently and in a team environment. • Achieves results based on pre-defined priorities & schedule. • Possesses basic knowledge of machine maintenance. • Experienced in basic Microsoft Windows and Office Skills. • Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
