Families and friends, it is time to celebrate "Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month" for the month of April at the Fox Theatre, April 10th! It has been long overdue for a celebration on the autism cause. The Autism Society-Kern Autism Network, Inc. would like to invite our families and friends to join us at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, April 10th for a drive through autism spirit car parade. We want to see your autism spirit with decorated cars, dressing up in the autism colors, bringing your posters, signs of autism and just joining us to celebrate our kids and adults with autism! So tell your family and friends to sign up and join us for a fun hour of showing your autism spirit in Bakersfield. We will have the Fox Theatre marquee with signage to highlight the cause for "April Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month". We plan on having quite a celebration with media & community friends joining us to commemorate this special day and month! Note: In order to maintain the Covid-19 rules of social distancing, face masks are still required and remaining in your vehicles will help to keep the event within guidelines.
