Marine Paint Technician: Local Year round marina seeking an experienced painter. We offer competitive wages and benefits. Operational Responsibilities: • Preparation of wood, fiberglass, and metal surfaces for painting. • Painting of parts, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of yachts and boats, using brushes, spray guns, and rollers. • Surface protection and taping common to painting process • Substrate and surfacing repairs • Comprehensive knowledge of the varnish process and ability to apply from start to finish • Proficient communication skills to interact with both co-workers and clientele to assist and respond to questions relating to the painting process • Comprehend and follow detailed instructions and procedures • Institute and enforce clean work spaces, equipment and workshop daily or as needed to maintain a clean and professional workspace. Candidate Essentials: • 2-5 years of commercial painting experience, marine and boat-building a plus • Experience using scissor-lifts and/or other power equipment preferred • Active listening • Critical thinking • Independent time management • Ability to effectively interact with the fellow employees and promote a team environment • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly-changing environment We are currently accepting applications for candidates Resume requested
