This is a permanent seasonal position scheduled to work during the months of March through October. JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision and direction of the Parks Operations Supervisor, performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the care, operation, maintenance, construction, repair and beautification of city parks and facilities, including but not limited to the Harman Center, Fisher Golf Course and Tahoma Cemetery. May perform tasks and assignments independently or as part of a maintenance crew in park and facility maintenance operations. Work is usually seasonal in nature and is reviewed through direct observation, results attained or customer satisfaction. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in work related to lawn and/or grounds maintenance including landscape, maintenance, construction, repair or related duties. Must pass background investigation regarding applicant’s aptitude, character, judgement, credit, driving record and criminal history. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES: Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License. Must possess and maintain a Basic First Aid/CPR Certificate within six (6) months of employment.
