Small lawn care and landscaping company is looking for a new crew member. Immediate Phone Interview, then possible In-Person Interview and Hire. This position typically involves 2-4 days a week, Monday - Friday, 16-30 hours per week. Occasional Saturdays if rained out earlier in the week. Note that full time will be available as the season progresses, probably within a couple of months. Job Duties May Include Any Of The Following: Picking up trash, weed-eating, mowing, line edging, blowing trimmings, de-weeding flower beds, moving and applying mulch, gravel and rocks, moving fallen trees, trimming bushes, digging up smaller trees/bushes, hauling debris, digging trenches, installing fence posts, small equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Reliable and punctual; • Quick learner and able to follow instructions; • Physically fit; this is a physically demanding job with work performed in the elements including very hot days, and you need the ability to push, pull, lift, bend and carry up to 50 pounds on an ongoing basis; • Reliable transportation - must be able to arrive on time every day as needed. Right now work days are starting at 8am; that will become as early as 7am as summer heat progresses. If you share a vehicle/ride with another person and are unable/unwilling to take the bus/cab/Uber when needed to arrive on time, this is not the job for you; • Live within 20 miles of Five Points Town Plaza in La Porte, TX as that is very near where you will report each day. If you don't know where that is, Google it. If you live further than 20 miles away, you will not be considered. Preferred: • Experienced in professional lawn care and/or landscaping with at least 1 year of recent experience. • If you do not meet the experience preferred, you must have some sort of verifiable work history with physical labor. We will train the right candidate as long as you are able and willing to follow directions, move quickly and are a fast learner, and meet other above requirements. Weekly pay checks, not cash. Hourly pay based on performance. Must show proof of right to work in the United States. Note that we do NOT "pay under the table," regardless of the situation - so don't ask.
