Button Farm will be accepting volunteers by appointment only. All tasks will be assigned upon arrival and will be assigned in the order of importance. Specific task cannot be reserved: · Garden helpers (weeding, planting, harvesting produce) · Animal helpers (cleaning animal pens) · Prepping farm opening to public (moving items to and from storage, putting up signage and displays, painting, general cleaning and beautification projects) What to Bring · Mask or some type of mouth & nose covering, personal hand sanitizer, Bug spray, water/non-alcoholic drinks, snacks/lunch. Masks will be required upon arrival at the farm and during interactions with others. Button Farm will not be able to provide any of these items due to COVID-19 safety protocols. · Closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), sun protection (hats, umbrellas, sun glasses), and work gloves. Button Farm will not be able to provide any of these items due to COVID-19 safety protocols. COVID-19 Protocols · Upon arrival you will be greeted and directed to a designated parking area. Once parked please avoid contact with other volunteers unless they are part of your volunteer group. · All work is outdoors and can be done SOLO or in small PRE-FORMED GROUPS OF UP TO 6 PEOPLE provided all group members know one another. · Volunteers are free to work without a mask ONLY when working alone or within their own pre-formed groups. Volunteers are asked to not approach any other volunteers without prior permission. Student Service Learning (SSL) If you are interested in receiving credit for SSL hours please inform the site coordinator. Signed forms will be provided once the hours have been completed.
