Markey, like all democrats in office, is simply saying the party line. They have to make every issue racial.
In Massachusetts, race has nothing to do with whether or not you get vaccinated. The state's vaccination policy is to vaccinate everyone and anyone connected to the state first. Then the rest of the population gets in line.
Vaccinating the front line health care people made sense, at first. But them we added everyone remotely connected to the health field (admin, etc.). Then we moved every union to the front of the line: police, fire, transit, etc. There's not a person that is dependent on the state for a paycheck that has not been vaccinated. We've also done the prisoners and now the teachers. The OP was correct... there's no inequality in getting a vaccine because its based on job and government connections rather than age, gender or race.
Now that Massachusetts is getting around to the common folk... you need to go thru the government bureaucracy. But if you recall... only a few days ago, your president Biden said that blacks were not being vaccinated as quickly because they wer unable to properly use a computer (too stupid?).
