LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood High's indoor track team set several school records during the OATCC Indoor Track & Field State Championship Meet on Saturday. "Congratulations to all the girls who competed and to coaches Stephanie Toole and Adam Swiat!" the district said in a message to the team. Toole recapped her team's weekend for Patch. Here's how each race broke down. The 4x200 Sr. Alicia Smith leads off - hands to 2nd leg Aniya Symons - to 3rd leg Fr. McKenna Hunt to Sr. Ebony Bradford- for a new school record pic.twitter.com/82SaIokoJB— LHS Girls Trk&Fld (@LkwdLHSTrakFld) March 8, 2021 Seniors Alicia Smith and Ebony Bradford, sophomore Aniya Symons and freshman McKenna Hunt set a new school record in the 4 x 200, completing the race in 1:51.91. In the 4 x 400, Hunt, Bradford, sophomore Helen Roche and senior Abby Sacha set a new school record, completing the race in 4:15.19. Roche and Sacha were joined by sophomores Mallory Zavatchen and Sadie Gregg in the 4 x 800. They finished the race with the second fastest time in indoor history, 10:24.07. Finally, Smith broke another school record in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing her run in 10.2 seconds.
