IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Four suspects face numerous felony drug charges after a community tip prompted an undercover drug sting in Statesville, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. Eugenio Mata Carbajal, 28 and Eva Mata Carbajal, 28, of the 100 block of Deep Water Road in Statesville, along with Amada Christine Wolowitz, 26, of Charlotte and Webb Massey King, 44, of Taylorsville, were arrested Friday, March 5, ICSO said. "Narcotics investigators received information about illegal drug activity was still ongoing evenafter some of the suspects had been recently arrested and charged with Methamphetamine related crimes," the sheriff's office said in a statement. As part of the investigation leading up to the arrests, investigators were able to buy Methamphetamine from the Statesville home on Deep Water Road, ICSO said. Deputies returned to the residence March 5 with a search warrant, and found the Carbajals, and Wolowitz inside the home with crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Paraphernalia related to the sale and distribution of controlled substances was also found, ICSO said. The three were taken into custody. Eugenio Mata Carbajal was charged with felony conspire to sell or deliver methamphetamine; felony conspire to traffic methamphetamine; three counts of felony possession with intent tosell or deliver methamphetamine; and felony possession with intent to sell or deliver ScheduleVI controlled substance. He was issued a $200,000 secured bond. Eva Mata Carbajal was charged with felony conspire to sell or deliver methamphetamine;felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine; and felony possession withintent to sell or deliver Schedule I controlled substance. She was issued a $75,000 secured bond. Wolowitz was charged with felony conspire to sell or deliver methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine; and felony possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule VI controlled substance. She was issued a $75,000 secured bond. During the course of the investigation, narcotics Investigators also obtained warrants for the arrest of King, on the charges of felony conspire to sell or deliver methamphetamine; felony conspire to traffic methamphetamine; four counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule VI controlledsubstance; and felony maintaining a dwelling, or motor vehicle for the use or sale of acontrolled substance. King located at a Statesville home and taken into custody. His secured bond was set at $225,000, ICSO said.
