Online Event by Oregon State University Extension - Lane County, OSU (Oregon) Master Gardener Program and Lane County Master Gardener Association Tuesday, March 16th at 6:30 p.m. Registration required: This seminar will discuss reasons to develop a landscape which is not irrigated in the summer-dry climate of the Willamette Valley. We will discuss assessing your landscape for any issues that you may need to consider or address and also woody and herbaceous plants which provide year-round interest. Speaker bio: Neil Bell is the Community Horticulturist for the OSU Extension Service in Marion and Polk counties. Since 2000 he has overseen Master Gardener programs in both counties. He also helps coordinate Northwest Plant Evaluations, a research program that evaluates plants for un-irrigated landscapes in the Willamette Valley. This seminar is part of the Lane County Master Gardener Association (LCMGA) monthly seminar series. The LCMGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to support the Lane County OSU Extension Horticulture program.
