SOAP up the Kentucky Derby Human Trafficking is the 2nd leading crime in the U.S. Anytime an event comes to a town, trafficking quadruples! There are 1.3 million missing and runaway youth in this nation. The sale of individuals is against God's will. With your help, we can stop the trafficking of our women and children. What you will do: (Expectations) You will get trained on recognizing the signs of human trafficking in your community. You will learn how to talk to people about this issue. You will get to label bars of soap and make up remover wipes with the national human trafficking hotline number and help assemble folders for the hotels. You will get the opportunity to take the supplies along with Missing Children Posters to hotels in the greater Louisville area prior to the Kentucky Derby. Rules: Please dress modestlyOnly those 16 and over are able to go to hotels to deliver (with guardian permission) The training presentation is appropriate for those in middle school and older. Drivers to the hotels must have a valid drivers license and current auto insurance. Please adhere to the local and state mandates on COVID-19 to ensure the safety for all volunteers.
