Description

WESTFORD, MA — A teen was seriously injured Sunday afternoon at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford after crashing into and getting trapped under a small shed off the ski trails. Westford firefighters said they had to pull him out from under the shed, and said the 18 year old —whose name was not released — suffered "severe" injuries and was flown to a hospital for treatment. Shortly after the crash, the ski center posted about it on Facebook. "We had a serious incident at Nashoba Valley today, and we wanted you to hear it from us," the post read. "A young adult male collided with a building off-trail near the bottom of the Nashoba Slope. Bystanders rendered aid immediately, and Ski Patrol was on scene a few minutes later. EMS arrived shortly after that. The young man was transported to an area hospital. We have no additional information at this time. Out of concern for the young man and his family, we ask that you refrain from speculating, and that you keep him, his family, and the Nashoba Staff and first responders who attended to him in your prayers."
