Growing Tree Welcomes your little one and your family to be a part of our classroom. Thank you for your interest, and the opportunity for me to be your little one's teacher. Growing Tree Day Center and Family Daycare Home is passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for kids. We understand that it’s not easy for parents to drop off their children at school every morning, so we want to assure you that our program will prove to be an exciting place for your child to learn and grow here in a home setting. COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: COVID-19 has made it a hard decision for every parent/guardian to bring their child to school. As a parent myself, of a five year old, I completely understand and can empathize with these concerns. As recourse to this issue, in our classroom we have made some alterations to our schedule and to our environment. 1. We have installed an air filtration system that cleans and sanitizes the air. 2. Each child is REQUIRED to be temperature checked at the door before entering the front door. If a child shows any symptoms of illness such as, a runny nose, cough, lethargy, fever etc at any point either at drop off or during the day, Parents will be required to pick up the child until we can ensure that they are healthy. Parents are now required to drop little ones off at the door to reduce the potential threat of introducing or spreading any germs in the home or classroom. 3. Hand Sanitizer Dispensers have been added to the front of the classroom, the play area, and the back door and the children now sanitize their hands as often as possible 4. We now take a "germ-away" break to wash our hands once every hour to keep ourselves safe and healthy. 5. Children are allowed to go to centers, but only two children may play in one center at a time. After a child comes out of a specific play area, I go behind them to clean and sanitize the toys before the next child comes to play. Our curriculum is inspired by the Abeka Curriculum, with a Montessori style approach to learning and our own Growing Tree "MUST LEARN" add-ons to ensure a wide range of learning and material. On a daily basis, our schedule will include subjects including: Reading, Phonics, Vocabulary Building, Writing, Fine Motor Development, Gross Motor Development, Social/Emotional Development, Crafting/Art, Geography, Astronomy, Baking/Cooking, Health Safety, History, Music, Gardening and so many more! All of these subjects are built upon using a consistent, yet free approach to teaching, learning and observing. We believe, however, that studying and spreading God's love to our friends, families and those who just need a kind word is the most important thing to learn and master.
