Sorry, your vast array of maladies in no way makes you an expert on pandemic mitigation, you wasted your time pointing them out. And those fighting this pandemic are far better "student[s] of history" than you could ever hope to be, more redundancy. If you really believe the shutdowns have killed more than the 525,000 who've died so far from this virus, you're deluding yourself. Even tRump claimed without mitigation efforts, MILLIONS would have died and you'd rather they did because you're "tired of covid 19 horseshit"? Shame on you. The best ways to handle this pandemic, as we can see by the records of some other nations, were masks, distance, hygiene, testing, tracing and quarantining. Thanks to the ignorance/arrogance of the previous administration and those who actually listened to the science deniers within, none of those things were done. The shutdowns were the last line of defense and while it has many drawbacks, it was forced by selfish egoists who somehow believe it's their right to engage in biological warfare against their fellow citizens. The soon-to-be-passed $1.9 trillion relief package will address your concerns about the misery the shutdowns caused, the reopening of enrollment for the ACA will address your concerns about those who need healthcare. The vaccines are just a few months away from getting us back to some sort of normalcy. You may be tired of the virus but it's definitely not tired of you or anyone else. We now have an administration who is taking this national threat seriously, they are attacking the pandemic on ALL fronts, they are not just using the DPA to speed up the vaccines but are sparing no expense in getting aid to not just those with the virus but those suffering the economic strife it's caused, as well. This is nothing extraordinary, it's what we should EXPECT from our elected officials, they just look like superheroes due to the contrast of the supervillains in the previous administration. (Some of the villains are still in Congress) Your simplistic solution of opening up everything (except a textbook) is not based on anything logical, reasonable, scientific or even rational. Your being tired of the pandemic is reasonable, your solutions are anything but.
