Description
NORWALK, CT — A 27-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on multiple narcotics charges Friday after police raided his home and seized a host of drugs and $8,000 in cash, according to authorities.
Rasheen Thompson, of Ely Avenue, was arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school Possession of drug paraphernaliaPossession of narcotics with intent to sellSale/possession of marijuana with intent to sellPossession of drug paraphernalia near a schoolpossession of more than 1/2 ounce of cannabisPossession of a controlled substanceThe Norwalk Police Special Services Division raided Thompson's home, because members of the unit had been investigating narcotics trafficking at the Roodner Court complex on Ely Avenue where Thompson lives.
During the raid, officers found the following:
Approximately $8000 in US Currency130 fentanyl pills10.35 grams of suspected crack cocaine27.35 grams of powder cocaine1.77 pounds of marijuana in 39 separate bags of varying weight30 folds of Heroin79 Ecstasy pills3 bags of fentanyl pills (45 total) pressed to resemble OxyContin pillsThompson was held in lieu of bail of $250,000, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
