BALTIMORE, MD — In Baltimore City, officials say 41,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed as of Monday, March 8. A total of 879 Baltimoreans have died of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health. Two mass vaccination sites have been established in the city — at M&T Bank Stadium and at the Baltimore Convention Center — to facilitate administration of the vaccine. Over the weekend, Maryland marked a milestone of more than 1 million residents having received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
