DENVER, CO —The Denver Police Department has arrested two drivers in connection with Friday's fatal hit-and-run accident at Morrison Road and West Kentucky Avenue that left a bicyclist dead, the department said Monday. According to police reports, the incident occurred when a male cyclist trying to cross Morrison Road was struck by one car, and then by a second vehicle. Both drivers allegedly fled. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Denver.CBSlocal.com. But police revealed Monday that one of the drivers, Gregory Gomez, 45, had turned himself in to Denver police on Saturday. Gomez was arrested for investigation of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Also on Saturday, a juvenile was cited in the case for investigation of failing to report an accident, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury - vulnerable road user, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a valid license and driving without proof of insurance.
