I swear to the highest authority.... High Point gets the crown for being the saddest example of how to properly use tax payer money to repair roads. I moved to Summerfield 10 years ago and the week I moved in, I remember driving 68 in Oak Ridge down to Eastchester Drive and the SAME road repairs that were going on around Lassiter Drive, are STILL THERE TODAY.
The roads all around H.P. are without a doubt the worst I've seen in this State!! Pot holes greet cars at every rigged traffic light....and how many decades is it gonna take to simply pave the mile-long stretch that's near the 29 ramp. Ten years of seeing these same orange "construction" barrels shows who's spending to fix, and who's pocketing. If y'all didn't have a furniture market, you'd be a distant cousin to Detroit.
And the N.C. DOT programmed your traffic lights like toll roads. At a 4-way intersection by the mall in H.P. at 12 midnight, I sat and watched ALL 4 roads of cars all stopped at the same light, just looking around like "well, SOMEONE should be able to go"!!
After about 45 seconds, cars just started peeling off. After what, 70 years of programming these lights, they still have it ass backwards on accident?? Yeah bull sh.t!!
Is everyone in politics crooked as hell these days?? Takes over 10 years to pave a mile!! Stay classy High Point.
