ISO small male dog

I'm looking to take in a small male dog. I currently have a rat terrier black lab mix, a sweet 3 year old dog who gets anxious alone. I'm hoping that another dog will make it easier for him. My dog and I go on a lot of walks, have roommates, and will be living with cats. Please let me know if you have any other questions about the home/our lifestyle. Thank you!
