30 hours/week is considered full-time ***Willing to consider part-time hours. Willing to consider 2 individuals for hours needed*** The ideal candidate for this Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a responsible, patient, reliable, dependable, and creative person with a good sense of humor who is willing to take the initiative to help a fun-loving young man find new things to participate in. Job responsibilities of the DSP include activities of daily living including feeding, personal care, stretching, repositioning, playing games, helping him stay connected with the outside world via social media, and assisting him to make his own choices throughout the day using his assisted communication program. A couple days a week, staff will take individual out in the community for 2-3 hours (vehicle provided though applicant will need full auto insurance). Full training provided. Hours preferred - 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM - however, it is possible to negotiate the hours. It's an ideal position for someone looking for Mother's hours Consideration will be given to those looking for a part-time position.
