SANTA BARBARA, CA — A surfer died on Saturday after colliding with another man riding a wave at Rincon Point on Saturday, officials said. While both men suffered head injuries, Gerry Gilhool, 51, was later pronounced dead at a hospital, the Associated Press reported. A nurse who happened to be on the beach of the popular surfing destination attempted to perform CPR on Gilhool, the AP reported.
