SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Library District will reopen lobby service beginning Monday at most of its locations. According to a news release, patrons will be able to enter the library to pick up holds and browse for items with no appointment required. Visitors must be free of COVID-19 symptoms, wear face coverings and are asked to keep their visit to 10 minutes. Lobbies at the Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Milpitas, Morgan Hill and Saratoga locations will be open during specific hours from Monday through Sunday. "The Santa Clara County Library District has been able to quickly adapt and evolve with the changing health and safety protocols to offer exemplary services," said Mike Wasserman, President of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and Chair of the Library Joint Powers Authority Board. "From computer and printing services, meal distribution and student resources, to book bundles and lobby service — kudos to the SCCLD staff for their hard work and dedication to make many valuable library services available to our communities." Curbside service is still available at library locations for those who would like items brought to them in their cars. Click here for the hours schedule.
